THE BEACH!!!

Posted by anotherbeautyblogger on June 7, 2010

I’m sorry but everytime I see a reference to Bobbi Brown’s beach scent I immediately think of the Seinfeld episode where Calvin Klein steals Kramer’s beach scented fragrance.  But I digress.  So have you seen  Bobbi Brown’s Beach Club Collection?  I am in love!  The collection features a new limited edition Shimmer Brick in Beach ($38), 5 new shades of Long-Wear Cream Shadow (Moonstone, Opal, Surf, Pink Oyster, and Shore…$22 each), a new Treatment Lip Shine SPF15 in Clear ($22), and of course the beach scented fragrances.

According to a wonderful Bobbi Brown make-up artist at Macy’s, the 5 new shadow shades are being implemented into the permanent line.  I am over the moon about that because all 5 of these shades are quickly becoming my go to shadows.  Four of the shadows are metallics.  My favorite is Moonstone, a gorgeous multi-faceted green with hints of gold and gray.  Surf is icy blue with silvery sparkle.  Pink Oyster is a stunning pink with silvery sparkle.  Opal, my second favorite, is eye popping white with hints of pink and violet in it.  Shore is not a metallic.  It is a flattering neutral beige.  Not overly exciting on it’s own, but a nice canvas to blend with other colors.

A word to the wise, Bobbi Brown Metallic Long-Wear Cream Shadows do contain glitter.  My experience has been that the glitter becomes more prominent when you thin it out to a sheerer finish.  As a result, you may experience glitter residue around your eyes and face and it flakes away.

Have you picked up any of the new Bobbi Brown Beach Club Collection?  What are your favorites?  Which products are you longing for?
