Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Brightening Blush

Posted by anotherbeautyblogger on July 2, 2010

Too Faced’s Papa Don’t Peach Brightening Blush has been around for awhile now, but surprisingly I just tried it recently.  I had been looking for a nice peach blush for the summer.  I usually use Benefit’s Georgia, but I was looking for something a little more substantial.  Not garish, but noticeable.  Papa Don’t Peach totally fit the bill.

From the package:  “A burst of sweet peachy-bronze adds a fresh youthful radiance to both cheeks and face for that summertime warmth anytime of the year.”

The complete line of Brightening Blushes (there are three of them) are considered blushing bronzers.  These aren’t the half blush half bronzer palettes we’ve seen before.  Nope, the bronzer is built into the blush.  It’s actually quiet intriguing.  So you’re getting a gorgeous peachy-bronze shade when applied.

Too Faced is known for its ability to layer.  Papa Don’t Preach is no exception.  One swipe and a nice sheer shade appears.  Two swipes and you get a healthy glow.  Three swipes and you look like a knock out!  I love a versatile blush.  It’s so nice to know that one product will produce many looks.  Using a light hand and a fan brush I was left with a perfect for summer kiss of color.

Papa Don’t Peach is packed with pigment, so a little goes a long way.  There is also a subtle shimmer to this product.  Not a lot, but just enough to catch the light.  And oh my God how cute is the packaging?!?!  I love the retro pin-up model and the polka dots are too cute.  The only thing that’s cuter than the packaging is the name!

At $19.50, Papa Don’t Peach is a great investment.  It’s versatile and because of the pigmentation and sheerness of the product it should last quite awhile.  I loved Papa Don’t Peach so much that I’m definately going to be picking up the others shades as well.
