Too Faced Girls Dig Deals

Posted by anotherbeautyblogger on December 1, 2010

After the damage I did on Black Friday and Cyber Monday I swore to myself I wouldn’t buy anything else this week.  Why oh why did I look at the new sale items at Sephora???  I’m pretty sure this is new to the sale section, but truthfully, I could have missed it over the past few weeks.  I saw the Too Faced Girls Dig Deals for only $20 and I had to have it.

Too Faced Girls Dig Deals features a Lip of Luxury in Cougar (mocha shimmer), 3 0.28 oz Lockdown Creaseless Eye Shadow in Jailbait (shimmering pale pink), Dramarama (shimmering chocolate brown), I’m Guilty (shimmering teal blue), an 0.08 oz Girls Dig Pearls in Mermaid (pinky beige), and a 0.27 oz Lash Injection Pinpoint Mascara.  It has a retail value of $115 but has been marked down to only $20!!!  How crazy is that???

Can you believe I have never tried the Too Faced Lockdown Creaseless Eye Shadows?  I have heard nothing but great things about them, but every time I went to go and pick them up, I was lured away by some other beauty product.  Then they became impossible to find at actual stores, and then I totally forgot about them.  Now I’m glad I waited and forgot about them because at $20, this set is an absolute steal.

I’m sorry, but I cannot get over this $20 price tag.  Are you tired of hearing me say, “This would make a great Christmas gift” yet?  Sorry, but this would make a great Christmas gift!!!

I just put my order in.  I also picked up some Bliss Hand Cream Duo. I love the Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream, but have never tried the Blood Orange Hand Cream before so I’m excited to give that a try. Since I was over $25, I also used coupon / promo code GETAWAY and got a travel bag packed full of samples.

What do you think of the Too Faced Girls Dig Deals collection?  Can you believe the $20 price tag?

Too Faced Glamour To Go Fairy Edition

Posted by anotherbeautyblogger on October 22, 2010

While I love this time of year when there are a ton of great deals in the form of holiday palettes and gift sets, I recognize that it can be a pricey time of the year if you’re not careful.  I know I’m not the only one whose eyes are bigger than her wallet when it comes to the holiday beauty goodies.  Often times the largest gift sets and palettes are the most talked about and highly touted.  While the larger sets do often give us the best value, it’s not feasible for most of us to justify picking up multiple sets and palettes that range in the $50 area.  The good thing is that a lot of cosmetics companies offer smaller holiday palettes and gift sets that are more economically feasible.  Too Faced is one of those companies.

For Holiday 2010, the Enchanted Glamourland palette has been the talk of the town for Too Faced. It really is a lovely palette, but it also has a price tag of $49.  Even though the value of the palette is $145, the $49 price tag can be too much for a lot of people, especially in today’s economy.

Good news.  The Too Faced Glamour To Go Fairy Edition palette offers the same high quality product you will find in the Enchanted Glamourland palette, but at the much lower price of $19.50. Sure, you’re getting less product in the To Go palette, but with 8 eye shadows, a blush, a bronzer, and a lip gloss you’re still getting a bunch of product.

Too Faced has released many of these To Go palettes over the years, and I must admit they are pretty fabulous.  The palette itself is about the size of a credit card.  Unlike some cosmetic brands that tend to skimp on the smaller, more affordable palettes, the Too Faced To Go palettes contain the same amazingly pigmented shadows that you find in the larger palettes.  The size of the To Go palettes make them ideal for travel.  They also allow you to carry around a ton of variety without taking up a ton of space in your purse.

The Too Faced Glamour To Go Fairy Edition palette is a steal at $19.50. It has a value of $48. Even better, if you pick up now during the Friends & Family Sale, it’s only $15.60 with coupon code FF2010.

What do you think of the Too Faced Glamour To Go Fairy Edition Palette?  Do you like when cosmetic companies offer palettes and gift sets at different price points?  Let us know.

Too Faced Enchanted Glamourland

Posted by anotherbeautyblogger on October 7, 2010

Have you guys seen any of the pieces from the Too Faced Holiday 2010 Collection?  You haven’t?  No worries…I’m going to highlight all of them right here on this blog.  The collection is pretty fantastic.  Too Faced is one of those cosmetics companies that I think doesn’t always get the recognition that they deserve.  Rarely do you hear someone say “Too Faced” when talking about favorite lines and that’s really a shame because they have some pretty awesome products.  Plus, when they do kits, palettes, etc. they are usually priced to please.  I was first introduced to Too Faced thanks to a nicely priced palette.  Anyways, let’s get back to the main point of this post…Holiday 2010.

The star piece of the Too Faced 2010 Holiday collection is by far Enchanted Glamourland.  Ah, Enchanted Glamourland.  Doesn’t that sound like a magical place you would like to visit?  I picture a small Alpine town tucked away in snow-covered pine trees.  All of the inhabitants are stylishly dressed in winter whites and the talk of the day is always about beauty and fashion.  Sadly, such a place does not exist, but once you start playing with the Enchanted Glamourland palette you will immediately be sucked away to this imaginary place.

Enchanted Glamourland features 15 eye shadows in In The Buff, Exclusive Nude, George & Weezie, Velvet Revolver, Honey Pot, Teddy Bear, Exclusive Purple, Boy Toy, Peach Fuzz, Exclusive Green, Label Whore, Glamazon, Exclusive Plum, Ooh & Aah, and Stiletto, a Shadow Insurance primer, a Glamour Gloss in Pillow Talk, a La Vie en Rose Blush, and a Snow Bunny Bronze.  Three Get-the-Look instruction cards are also included in this kit.

Clearly this palette is all about the eye shadows.  Too Faced shadows are pigmented and soft.  The feel amazing on and last all day.  The shades offered in this kit give you the best of both worlds:  plenty of neutrals but also some vibrant colors.

I love the fact that you get a bronzer in this kit.  Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean that you want to be all pale and pastey, especially at all of those holiday parties.  Am I right?

Enchanted Glamourland is priced at $49 with a value of $145 and is exclusive to Sephora.  This product is already available on

Will you be making the journey to Enchanted Glamourland?  Let us know!

Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Brightening Blush

Posted by anotherbeautyblogger on July 2, 2010

Too Faced’s Papa Don’t Peach Brightening Blush has been around for awhile now, but surprisingly I just tried it recently.  I had been looking for a nice peach blush for the summer.  I usually use Benefit’s Georgia, but I was looking for something a little more substantial.  Not garish, but noticeable.  Papa Don’t Peach totally fit the bill.

From the package:  “A burst of sweet peachy-bronze adds a fresh youthful radiance to both cheeks and face for that summertime warmth anytime of the year.”

The complete line of Brightening Blushes (there are three of them) are considered blushing bronzers.  These aren’t the half blush half bronzer palettes we’ve seen before.  Nope, the bronzer is built into the blush.  It’s actually quiet intriguing.  So you’re getting a gorgeous peachy-bronze shade when applied.

Too Faced is known for its ability to layer.  Papa Don’t Preach is no exception.  One swipe and a nice sheer shade appears.  Two swipes and you get a healthy glow.  Three swipes and you look like a knock out!  I love a versatile blush.  It’s so nice to know that one product will produce many looks.  Using a light hand and a fan brush I was left with a perfect for summer kiss of color.

Papa Don’t Peach is packed with pigment, so a little goes a long way.  There is also a subtle shimmer to this product.  Not a lot, but just enough to catch the light.  And oh my God how cute is the packaging?!?!  I love the retro pin-up model and the polka dots are too cute.  The only thing that’s cuter than the packaging is the name!

At $19.50, Papa Don’t Peach is a great investment.  It’s versatile and because of the pigmentation and sheerness of the product it should last quite awhile.  I loved Papa Don’t Peach so much that I’m definately going to be picking up the others shades as well.
